Innovations in Breast Health

Breasts play many roles in women’s lives and at different stages. They can be an early sign of the transition into womanhood where they then give women their unique shapes. They provide sexual pleasure and deliver life-sustaining nourishment to their babies.

Just like other other areas of their physical appearance, some women are completely comfortable with their breasts, others aren’t. Some worry that their breasts are too big or too small, sit too high or hang too low, are lopsided, or aren’t as firm as they once were. Regardless of size or shape, all women want healthy breasts for a lifetime.

Five ways to keep breasts healthy include:

  • maintaining a healthy weight
  • exercising regularly
  • limiting alcohol (no more than one drink a day)
  • not smoking
  • regularly performing breast self-exams

Younger women often experience breast pain typically caused by fibrocystic breast disease (a non-cancerous condition characterized by breast pain, cysts, and lumps); and fibroadenomas, (small bumps of fibrous and glandular tissue that can be painful).

But for all women, by and large, the major concern is about breast cancer.  About 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer over the course of their lifetimes. Each year, about 300,000 American women are diagnosed with some form of breast cancer, and about 40,000 die of it.  Breast cancer can often be successfully treated, especially if it is detected early.  So screening is key.

Breast self-exam and screening mammography are the mainstays for early detection of breast cancer.

Now there is Celbrea – breast thermal activity indicator.  It is a breakthrough innovation in breast health!

The Celbrea® device uses over 1000 micro-sensors that are able to detect temperature differences on the surface of the breast skin to support the early detection of breast disease. Early detection of any tumor leads to better survival rates

Celbrea® is an FDA cleared Class I medical device available by prescription only. Only a doctor can interpret or advise on Celbrea® results.

Celbrea® does not diagnose breast cancer or replace mammography and other diagnostic procedures.

Celbrea’s results are based on extensive clinical dat from 13 clinical trials with 5,000 patients.

Celbrea® technology was designed for women of all ages.  It is painless, noninvasive, and only takes 15 minutes. There is no radiation involved.  Celbrea® is an affordable procedure for proactive routine monitoring of breast health.

WOMEN THAT CAN ESPECIALLY BENEFIT FROM USE OF THE CELBREA® DEVICE INCLUDE:

  • Younger women (under 40 years) who are concerned about the health of their breasts and usually fall outside of current breast cancer screening guidelines
  • Women with a family history of breast cancer or those in need of more frequent and/or additional testing and follow-ups
  • Women with dense breasts who often need more comprehensive screenings and are subject to a higher risk of developing breast cancer
  • Women with gaps in access to established modes care
