Hormone Replacement Therapy – Men

Men

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men is emerging as a necessary ingredient for healthy aging (“Essential for Optimal Health”). Men do not have as abrupt change in their hormone status as women. Men experience a more gradual decline in hormones and physiologic functions.

Testosterone is usually thought about in terms of building muscle mass, improving strength and enhancing sexual prowess. As important and desirable as they are, there are other significant health implications for men with low testosterone.

TRT can also:

  • Reduce cardiovascular risk
  • Reduce diabetes risk
  • Reduce prostate cancer risk
  • Reduce Alzheimer’s disease risk
  • Reduce risk for death from all causes
  • Improve abnormal lipid profiles
  • Improve or remedy metabolic syndrome
  • Reduce C-reactive protein

Balance is just as important for men as for women. The proper balance between testosterone, estrogen and cortisol is essential for optimal results.
