Desmond Ebanks, MD, Founder and Medical Director of Alternity Healthcare, LLC is a board certified Internist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at Cornell University School of Medicine. Dr. Ebanks has completed Physician Training in Age Management Medicine, jointly sponsored by the Cenegenics Education and Research Foundation and the Foundation for Care Management. He has also completed training in Mind-Body Medicine at the Mind-Body Institute of Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Ebanks is an active member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), Age Management Medical Group (AMMG), American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), American Medical Association (AMA), National Medical Association (NMA), International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN), Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Association, North American Menopause Society (NAMS), Bioidentical Hormone Society, and the Connecticut State & Hartford County Medical Societies.
Dr. Ebanks earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology from Syracuse University. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Harlem Hospital and SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in New York. Dr. Ebanks has over twenty years clinical experience in Internal, Emergency and Occupational Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Ebanks has researched his growing interest in preventive wellness, nutrition and exercise culminating with his current focus on Age Management Medicine.
