Edward: You are definitley on the right track. You need to have a thorough evaluation that includes your hormone status. It is more complicated than just getting a testosterone level done. We can certainly help you here at Alternity Healthcare but we do not have any connections in Idaho. We have patients that travel to us from several different states and from international locations. After your initial evaluation, much of the tweaking of your program could be done long distance. We require that you would have to be seen at least once per year if we are prescribing hormone therapy for you.

I have for a long time felt I needed testosterone therapy, however, because of the fear of an increased risk of prostate cancer, I have avoided seeking this form of therapy. I have high blood pressure but am avoiding medication for this because I truly believe that getting on an exercise regimen, cutting processed carbs from my diet, reducing stress, etc, will be the healthier alternative to blood pressure mediation. I have about 30% body fat and I think I may have some insulin resistance. In combination with improved diet, exercise and testosterone therapy, I believe my health and vitality can be improved. Can Alternity Healthcare refer me to a preventive healthcare clinic in the Boise, Idaho area?

Jeffrey, I am pleased that you found my website informative and useful to you. Spreading the word about the health benefits of testosternone therapy for men is one of my missions. I presume in your state, ND's are able to prescribe hormones. In many, including here in CT, they are not. Once your hormones are again in balance, you should have no problem rediscovering the old you. Good luck.

On finding that I have low/normal testosterone for a 59 year old (350), I set out on the web to do some reading about testosterone therapy. Your site provided the single best source of information about the condition and treatment. Just five weeks in I have noticed the cognitive difference. Looking forward to seeing and experiencing physical changes to come. ND would have put me on T therapy sooner...but my thyroid was also low. So on my way to becoming the old me.

Best,
